    Problems installing my new grip...

Please advise. I just installed my new CAA grip on my ar and my safety switch lever doesn't move now. Also the top of the grip doesn't seat all the way on the bottom of the trigger/grip mount on the lower. Any and all help is appreciated.

Did you place back the detent? Unscrew it and make sure you dont re-thread anything.

It's flush before the screw is even in and then it pushes away as it gets tighter on the lower. And as soon as It's tight the safety switch lever won't move. Should I cut the spring? Maybe drill in the plastic grip a little so the spring goes down more.

nooooooooo. dont cut anything. This happens to me everytime i install mine. What kind of grip did you get. show me. SOmetimes there are 2 holes to put the screw in. If you have the right one, FLUSH THE grip to the receiver, put the starry shape washer around hole, screw the screw in WHILE KEEPING the grip flush. put the selector switch on fire (facing up) while doing this...

Perhaps you are installing the wrong spring? A LPK comes with 3 similiar looking springs. (2) for the pivot pins, (1) for the safety selector

When installing, be sure the safety selector is either in the "safe" or "fire" mode. This way, the small Brass detent will sit inside the groove of the selector switch

I finally figured out the YouTube, use the YouTube icon that appears above the text window in a new post. Paste in the code only from the end of the url strand.

                        For example, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XNER0WEpRa0

You only grab the XNER0WEpRa0 part and paste that inside the YouTube brackets.

You know the safety switch doesn't go to safe unless the hammer is back right?

Yes. I have tried all of these but still having problems with it fitting flush. It pushes away from the receiver as it gets tighter. And the safety locks up when the grip screw is all they way tightened down.
