Their Pmags are lightweight, durable, have great followers, great design, and have a "cap" to keep the tension of the rounds from pushing on the lips.

They have the Maglevel ones too, which give you a window to see your round count. Super handy if you aren't counting your rounds, which most people in a real firefight likely aren't doing.

Agree with everyone who posted above. Would not use anything else. Also comes in FDE and OD to match whatever you do to your ar.

I'm not sure why you are speaking in the past tense. They are still good and you can still buy them - you haven't missed out on anything, just buy one and try it.

I sent a bunch of P-Mags to some Special Ops Rangers in Afghanistan. They dig em! Lifetime mags!

P-mags are great for my AR but I can't use them in my FS 2000. That's why I still prefer aluminum and steel mags.

Fair warning: The quality control varies with different production batches of these mags, and some are out of spec quite a bit. See this thread for details. Now the Magpul fanboys will rush to their defense, saying that my lowers are out of spec. This is true, but the fact of the matter is the Pmags are also out of spec, and THT confirmed in that thread that some production runs are worse than others. And as the poorer ones start to wear, they will fail in perfectly in-spec lowers as well.

I have older P-Mags that don't like to fit in some lowers and seem fine in others. I was told by the people at Magpul how to fix them so they fit in every lower and all it took was some sanding.

The newest revision mags already have the tabs that needed to be sanded removed.

They are a great product but nothing in life or the firearms industry is going to be perfect.
