Help me. I dont know anything about scopes

I want to find a reasonable price optic for an M1A Scout rifle that is not worthless. Id say 300.00 is my limit.

how will you be using your rifle? I have a nikon prostaff 3-9x40 riflescope on mine with a mount that allows me to add a burris mini red dot on for closer shots. I will mostly run my gun on the range or carbine classes. I bought everything from opticsplanet.com free shipping and no tax. check it out. It might work for you. You might also want to look at a Vortex SPARC. All of these configurations should be within your budget and will work just fine unless you're getting deployed to Iraq soon then you may want to look at a EO Tech which is much pricier

I have this on my M1A Scout. It's MADE for the M1A Scout.

...and it's sub $300. It's great, though I admit that I've been tempted to just go back to irons.

Also, there's an optics forum, I'd post a question like this there next time.

Do you want magnifcation or red dot? And how do you plan to mount the optics? Like a regular scope or forward of the action (scout style)? Also what ranges are you planing on shooting? Also, are you a bench/ prone shooter or do you shoot offhand?

Is your rig an AR or M1A? Which mount is it that you are describing and how much was it? I'm starting my AR build and want to do a scope plus red dot so your info is right up my alley.

            Thanks in advance!

Millet Tactical is $299 and gets pretty good reviews for being a low price scope.
