    Just bulit a rifle stand...

Super easy to build. Took about 2 hours and less than $20 in materials. Just wanted to share. It's for desert trips.

Looks good! Did you follow a plan or just wing it? I'm not an expert woodworker - how did you cut the barrel reliefs?

Thanks. No plans. Just googled an image of one and copied it. I used a hand reciprocating saw to cut out the circles. That was the most time consuming part. I've been wanting one for a while, finally had some time today to build one.

I can't tell from that pic, but did you cut the reliefs in at an angle, or head on?

Great job, BTW! I see plenty of eastern front representation there.

I wish I owned enough guns to necessitate an entire rack.

Same here. Looks to me like you did good work. Did you use a jigsaw to cut out those barrel notch things?

Also, are you going to varnish/stain it, or just leave it as is?

I have way more than will fit on this rack. But I only bring 3 out at a time to shoot. When I go to the desert with buddies it'll come in handy.

Probably just leave it as is. It's going to get pretty beat up. I would like to glue felt where the barrels and butts touch.

                  A hand electric jigsaw, yes.

It looks like the rack design from 7.62x54r.net - Firearm Racks

I like that it is a website to sell the racks, yet they post all the design schematics

                    Some really cool designs

Yes it does. I wonder if that would fit in my safe. You may have just given me my next project idea
