Why havent I heard of Red Jacket before the tv show? They are pretty pricey.... but could be cuz of the new business resulting from the TV show.

Because they don't do anything anyone else doesn't do.
So far everything they have "invented" on that show I have seen done before.. They just build their own instead of buying it and yea their pricing is way high.. From hearing the daughter talk and how much the dad spends on his rifles they just impulse buy and send that bill onto the customers... And yea they are relieing on the tv show to give them business.
I wouldn't ever use them. I'll stick with GAP. -
1 episode he told a cust. he could have his Saiga converted in 2weeks. Even my wife was like wtf?

I'm pretty sure in Louisiana, that they can, just have to process the paperwork. I recall one of the episodes they turned some dude away that wanted it right now.
I watch the show, but sometimes the way they talk (especially the daughter) rubs me the wrong way (as a gun guy). I understand they have to keep things simple for ma and pa show watcher, but if that's how they really talk, I think I'd look elsewhere too. Case in point the Katana build.
He wants me to build 5 of these things in a week?
Seriously that seemed like all off the shelf stuff. If you can't build 5 of them in a day you're doing something wrong. And freaking out because you forgot to put the front sling mount on?? I wish these shows would just show things as they happen and not try to add drama. But apparently they feel they have to ratchet things up. </rant>
That being said the flamethrower episode was pretty cool.

I agree... I sit threw all the b.s. drama in top shot just to see what there gonna shoot next. And this show dont got 1/2 the b.s. top shot has.
fyi: red jacket has been all over the saiga12 forum as long as I remember.
