+1 on Librarian's link. That should be required reading for all CA gun owners and there should be a test.

    Parts is parts.

When I lived in CA I bought lots of high cap rebuild kits --not to rebuild anything, but just to have in case there was a reinstatement of the federal AWB ban (remember the 2008 election frenzy?) and I later moved to a free state, so I'd have some grandfathered high-caps. I also had out of state vendors ship boatloads of high caps to my brother's house in Houston, for the same reason. Paid a pretty penny for those too, on account of the election panic.

I for one really can not wait until the high cap magazine law gets overturned or thrown out. One of the most poorly written laws I've ever seen, and confusion abounds. Till then I'll keep supplying you guys with 100% legal boxes of magazine parts.

The real problem here guys is the politicians like Feinstein. It's simple remove her from office. The Egyptians did it why can't we then they will stop trying to make stupid laws.

Sorry I miss spelled guinea pig as I was trying to work and chat at the same time, these spell checkers or not fool proof.
But I think you should correct my spelling properly with your spelling and punctuation.

                See how silly this is!

                  That's what I thought too!

I even started a thread on it. But then everyone who replied (ok, almost everyone) told me that I was so wrong to even think of something so vile. I even got called a spoiled brat, LOL! Conclusion of that thread: We have waaaay to much to lose to actually begin rocking the political boat. We're all very comfortable right now, thank you very much.

Back to this thread: I'm very much looking forward to the official CGF hicap workaround

lol, I had to try and avoid that terminology. However, Senor Hoffman's exact terminology was "less than two weeks."

That was about a week ago, but there were apparently a few snags and the ETA got pushed back a little longer.

STILL! Keep an eye out. Legal standard cap mags should be available in a matter of weeks (as in, probably less than a month from today).

Exactly. I don't see what the confusion is. The link explains what you need to know.

Ideally we all would too, but challenging this law in the courts can have a very perilous effect, even in victory. The decision would contain a very lengthy and detailed explanation of why and how the law is is being overturned, which can then be used to great effect in drafting new legislation that is better written, more concise and encompassing than what it replaces. This is doubly true when there is a legislature in place willing and able to do just that. This and the assault weapons ban are laws that would not remain overturned for long.

As hi-cap mag bans go, California's is pretty damn tolerable. And a far more reaching one could easily be written and enacted.
