    Savage 10 predator hunter max1

I just dros'd one wed. and am looking for some info on it. Mostly in the way of ring and base fitment. I know it is more of an optics post but since I am asking rifle specific, i thought I could get more answers here. Who has one, and who is happy with theirs? I will be buying a 4.5-14x40mm Nikon buck masters scope for it and was wondering what base it needs and ring height to run. i want to run a one piece leupold standard base and standard rings. The scope will have flip up lens covers attached and I am not sure what height to get. I want to say medium, but not sure. Also midways site says that the base can be either flat rear or rounded rear and am not sure which the rifle has. I appreciate any feedback.

    I would say mediums.
Any reason why you want the one piece?

IF you have not used them before some people like myself really do not care for them.

I used to run leupold exclusively but now I dont use anything but tally lightweight one piece and love them.

My Dad has a 12FCV which is similiar with a Bushnell 3200 5-15x40. We went with the Talley lightweights in medium and they seem to work well for him. I have a couple other sets and like them a lot. Not as convenient if you want to take the scope & bases off frequently though. All the new Savages have a round rear receiver.

Correction: ring height is medium after checking my old Midway order history

i am wanting the one piece base for sheer rigidity and easier alignment. I have also heard nothing but good stuff on the leupold standard stuff, plus the price is excellent. Thank you foe your input, you-too, i figured it would be mediums.

Leupold is good but they are a pain in the butt to get turned just right especially if you dont have the right tools

besides on that predator pretty much anything quality will do its not a 338 lapua
