Red Dot with standard front sight

Hey guys I am thinking of getting an Aimpoint RD or a Vortex SPARC (if i cant afford the aimpoint), and I just ordered a standard BCM 16" middy upper and was wondering how the red dots look with the standard front sight. Does the front sight mess with the RD picture? Would I be better off getting a flip up front sight? I would prefer to keep the standard front sight but I dont want the red dot to be any less effective. Any opinions or pics guys? Input is greatly appreciated!! Thank you

I have a BCM 16" middy with the standard front sight and SPARC. The red dot and sights are true cowitness. It's good to go. It would be better if the front sight was a flip up/down but I don't think the front sight messes too much with sight picture.

I prefer a true cowitness with the front and rear sight. If you shoot with both eyes open for quick targeting its just as fast, and for more precise shots its like having a 3rd point of reference for the iron sights.

cool thanks guys. I figured it wouldnt be a problem but the only AR I have shot thus far was a LMT monolithic upper with a flip-up front sight so wasn't sure how the front sight + red dot would come into play..
