Hey guys I am thinking of getting an Aimpoint RD or a Vortex SPARC (if i cant afford the aimpoint), and I just ordered a standard BCM 16" middy upper and was wondering how the red dots look with the standard front sight. Does the front sight mess with the RD picture? Would I be better off getting a flip up front sight? I would prefer to keep the standard front sight but I dont want the red dot to be any less effective. Any opinions or pics guys? Input is greatly appreciated!! Thank you

I prefer a true cowitness with the front and rear sight. If you shoot with both eyes open for quick targeting its just as fast, and for more precise shots its like having a 3rd point of reference for the iron sights. The California Moderate Centrist Militia member in exile

cool thanks guys. I figured it wouldnt be a problem but the only AR I have shot thus far was a LMT monolithic upper with a flip-up front sight so wasn't sure how the front sight + red dot would come into play..Comment
