It doesn't matter how much stuff I bring. Invariably I'll forget something that I really need and bring something I have no use for.

The absolute must that is always in my range bag.

    1. Guns
    2. Ammo
    3. Eyes and ears
    4. Tools and lube for guns
    5. Extra mags

Of course, I'll bring much of the other stuff already listed depending on what and where I'm shooting. My favorite thing to forget is my folding chair.

In no particular order and I probably forgot some stuff cause I almost never unpack the whole range box:

I wear Prescription glasses and my daily ones are real safety glasses so the most important item is covered.

      1. Hearing protection (electronic muffs)
      2. Extra foam ear plugs (for me in case I end up next to someone really loud or to give away)
      3. Front rest
      4. Rear leather bag
      5. Talcum powder for the bags
      6. Spotting scope w/ it's tripod
      7. Screwdriver handle with interchangeable bits
      8. Bits for above including a dozen or more different sized slotted, 4 sizes of phillips, about 10 hex (allen) drive, 5 or 6 torx and probably a few more in a nice little carrier thingy
      9. A torque wrench driver that accepts the above bits
      10. Masking tape in white and black
      11. Stick on targets and targets I've printed myself
      12. A little target magnifier/reader thingy for settling arguments
      13. Needle nose pliers
      14. Forceps
      15. A cheap knock down cleaning kit packed in the vinyl bag they sell them in with .22, .30 & .38 caliber jags & brushes squeezed in there too
      16. A small zip lock bag with an assortment of patches
      17. A small bottle of Hoppes #9
      18. A small bottle of gun oil
      19. A pair of milsurp thin wool knitted gloves
      20. Ammo for whatever I'm shooting for the day

Like I said there's probably something I've left out. Except for the front rest and spotting scope it all fits in a 10"X10"X16" box so although it sounds like a lot of gear it moves pretty easy. I can't count the times I've been able to help someone else out too having a tool they needed. That feels pretty good.

I guess I don't carry enough gear in my bag!

        KISS principle applied;
        AW flow chart. Multiple copies.
GI cleaning kit that stuffs into buttstock.
Bottle of oil and old rag.
        Ammo.
Mags or clips depending on weapon.
        Something to shoot at.
Anything else I would ever "need" is already in the truck.
