OP, I think you are missing the point completely.

Complete lower or not, you are still not likely to save money, esp since you claim you will have to get a middle man to transfer it to a local FFL.

Well guess what, that isnt free either!

    stripped lower 120
    LPK 60
    BB 20
    stock assembly 60

see if you can beat that number after FFL fees, middle man fees, and multiple shipping fees.

I doubt it. If you do, we are talking chump change, and its just not worth the hassle.

If you want scour the internet looking for great deals, do it on not controlled items, like uppers or optics OR complete firearms.

To dieselpower: I was interested in the legality of transferring an OLL from out-of-state. I was not interested in an imaginary monetary breakdown. The fact that I have found one of the most inexpensive lowers on the internet should speak for itself. I am well aware of the costs associated with buying a complete lower, and for the record, the transaction would have been well worth it. Even after adding middleman fees (whatever those may actually be) I would have been able to save a substantial sum.

I searched many websites (including CGN sponsors), visited local gun stores, and went to gun shows. Complete lowers in this state are ridiculously expensive. Most vendors charge more simply because they can. If I have the opportunity to save some money, and still acquire a product with the same quality, longevity, and performance then I will jump at the chance. A $400 complete lower that says Daniel Defense or LMT does nothing for me at this point in my life.
      Failure of logic.

You can not have a discussion where cost is an issue then tell me legality was the concern. I did not see your post where you found it cheaper. I was merely pointing out the cost of importing a cheap OLL didn't work.
