No, Noveske would be the most expensive, by far. I'm going with an LMT MRP for my next AR, though the idea of rounding up an extra $800 and going with the MWS is very enticing... still, amongst that group, LMT wins for price, reliability, and quality. Noveske may be a bit more accurate, but you pay too much. I really like the idea of the MRP, too, esp. being able to seamlessly change b/w piston and DI.
This may sound strange and unbelievable to you, but it is real and true.

Noveske is right down the road from where I live and LMT and POF are the higher priced AR15s here. Maybe in California where things are always backwards or crazy pricing.

POF is the most expensive here but still under $3000 for an AR15. Their .308 AR15 style rifles are in the $3500+ range. LMT was over $3000 as well.
POF and LMT AR15s are $2299 and up. Noveske is in the same ranges but since they are here you can always find them at gunshows for around $1800-$1900, depending on model.

Most here don't even go with Noveske. Its a great rifle but like you said way overpriced when the quality is not near that of POF or LMT. I would take the higher end Colts over Noveske any day of the week and I have owned 2 Noveskes and got rid of them last year.
For me its POF P415/LMT for gas piston and Colt LE6940/LE6920 or DD M4 for your standard gas AR. Done and done.

However with the release of the Hk MR556 it will be one of the highest gas piston AR15s starting at $2700 for the bare bones model.

LMT is also in my sights for a DI rifle and possible piston, but the Robinson XCR always draws me back to it.

Pay your nickel and take your choice between any of the manufacturers you listed. They're all quality builders.

And to whomever that questioned whether BCM is "battle" proven, they are.
The way some gunshop clerks spout off, you'd think that they invented gunpowder and the repeating rifle, and sat on the Supreme Court as well.

Besides mercenaries, what military unit is running BCM? Just asking. Not that it makes one better than another.

I got the DD mid length because of the reviews and price point. It's hard spending so much on a rifle.

Now I've seen the others and close ups of the LMT platform and sure it's better but I can't justify the extra $$&. If I run into extra I'll get their upper to go with my lower. That's the great thing about AR's. Most any decent lower will work just fine.

The SCAR rifles look sick. Definitely on a wish list.

Any quality rifle up over $1200 is going to be good. I'd rather do that and spend $1000 on ammo and go practice and have a good time then blow it all on a rifle and have nothing left over.

I'd vote go with Daniel Defense for cost but if price isn't a concern by all means get the LMT.

I have seen a few of those used up here for sale and honestly I have no experience shooting them but did look at a couple at the Portland Gun show 2 weeks ago and they looked pretty well made IMO.

                      Whats your thought on them?

Daniel Defense is top notch IMO. I agree with you. It honestly looks better made than my Colt LE rifles.

I am not a fan of SCAR rifles and they are really cheap up here and easy to buy, same with the Bushmaster ACR. The looks of the SCAR does not appeal to me with the witches boot stock to the entire "overweight" looking rifle.

If you go .308 I would go LMT, POF, or LWRC. Can't go wrong with any of these at this level. Your wallet won't like it, but hey, you have got to pay to play sometimes.

I'm very impressed with it. Haven't shot one yet, but have held one. Very nice. Read a lot of good things about it once the rifle come from the factory in perfect firing shape. 2 of the gun shop employees bought one and says its the best piston rifle, even better than LMT.
