A couple of projects out of many nearly finished.

This first one is what I am calling a Yugo 54R, it's about 50% yugo parts and 50% Romanian PSL parts. It's built on a Cold steel solutions receiver.


This is my PSL which I have recently changed the front hand guard from Rhineland arms standard hand guard to his SVD hand guard and made a custom gas tube to accept a top cover which I fabricated out of a piece of tiger maple picked up from a local specialty wood store.

No optics because I don't see the need as of now and I can get them at any time and I have been trying to build what I want to own before all is gone, It's looking like the ak game is nearly over for those who are into ak's know that finding a decent deal on a complete kit is over as of a few months ago. Chris doesn't care for the ak and sad to say he may never own one now that kits are nearly gone here in the US. I'm having trouble getting the few parts I need for my pistol build without breaking the bank.
I havn't had the Yugo 54R out yet but the PSL has been shot with iron sights at 400 yards or so and is very accurate and fun to shoot I cant wait to shoot the Yugo 54R!

Barrel= PSL with Yugo profile about 16.250" minus the sight block which is the PSL sight block moved back about 5/8" or so.

Receiver= cold seel solutions extended about 5/8" or so to accept the pistol grip correctly and the M72 rear trunnion from APEXfor correct PSL spring tension.

Top cover= is fabricated out of two Yugo covers to fit correctly

Bolt & carrier is PSL with PSL recoild spring, RSA fcg, Yugo M70 safety selector

Furniture= Iron wood Tabuk Teak Yugo furniture

I also made the PSL scope rail fit with the PSL bolt hold open.
