    Sons of Guns - Breecher

Just saw Sons of Guns on DiscoveryHD where they mounted a Saiga 12 gauge to an M-4 for use as a door breecher. Rather interesting, but sad to see them cut up a perfectly good Saiga 12 that before long we won't be able to get here. In any case, what caught my attention is the guy paying $1500 for a 37mm flare launcher attached to an old A2 style rifle and calling it a grenade launcher. Admittedly I've never priced 37mm launchers, but that seems excessively steep. Am I wrong?

It looks just plain beastly and the extra heft up front does help manage recoil a bit better. Plus, an angel told me that when God called JMB to heaven it was to build him a full rail 1911!

I was thinking it may have included the rifle, if not it was too $$$.

Did you see the episode before this one? They made a supressor for a Saiga 12. That was pretty awesome.

Even with the rifle... it was too much money. IIRC, the lower looks to be a slab-side and the upper was a standard A2. If it was a original Colt slab-side AR15.... maybe it'll be worth the money.

Top Shot is below the level of American Chopper, imo.

http://www.knightarmco.com/m203_12ga.html $3000.00 for just the shotgun was the price I found

I watched the show. Made it seem as though the guy invented the idea. Other than that interesting to see some of the manufacturing aspects.

They make everything seem groundbreaking on the show. They claim they are the first to do everything when they are clearly not.

That "grenade launcher" may have been an LMT. They go for $$$

Either way its nice to see guns on TV. I liked the part where he said "lets go do a hours paperwork now" That lets people know how tough it can be in some states to get a gun.
I hope it improves over time.
