Ar15 front sight tool (level?)

This might be a really dumb question (please bear with me), but I was wondering if there is some type of tool for an ar15 front sight which helps you level the sight when assembling it back on the barrel. I mean, the other day when assembling the sight on the barrel, I notcied that I had to eye out the front sight to make sure it was level with the reciever(wasen't leaning to either side-left or right). The only thing helping the front sight to stay in place(stay level) was the gas tube once you stick it in the upper reciever. I hope this makes sense? Any tools or easy way to check the front sight is not leaning more to either side (left/right)?

Does your FSB have pins? Once these pins are in places, you really can't adjust the FSB.

Sorry for the late reply, no it has no pins, it is a flat top gas block found in the stag arms model 3 rifles. No pins, just 2 allen head screaws.. Here's a pic of the gas block:

I'm not familiar with that type of gas block. My guess would be to just eye-ball it.

Does your barrel have a dimple directly opposite the gas port?

install loosely on upper. level upper using small bubble levels than level the gas block using said bubbles while upper remains level.

You can also take the handguard off... flip the upper on a flat table, slip couple washers under the gas block until the whole thing sit flat on the table.

You can eyeball it pretty close, but it is best to use an optical collimater (AKA parallel bore sighter). You could also do a real good job by bore sighting on a plumb line on a wall, and line the sights up to the bore.
