Out of all my rifles (AKs, ARs, FALs) this is currently my favorite. She's a beauty to shoot and simply to look at.

I owned a factory built pre-ban FMP G3S. It shot decently, I didn't like the amount of felt recoil. It is a bulky rifle.... the bolt is a rolling block mechanism with a ton of metal... so it actually seems to increase felt recoil quite a bit.

Out of all the semi-automatic .308's I've owned... the FMP G3S, Galil .308AR, 2 Beretta BM-59's and a Springfield M1A, it was my least favorite to shoot.

not sure how the ptr 91 f differs from the ptr 91 gi (i have the former). seems to shoot fine though i've not shot have enough rounds in mine. just was particularly peeved how it dings the brass. still need to put a scope and mount on mine though (from hkparts). recoil seemed fine to me.

Mines a V51 (vector built ptr wearing a shorty barrel)
It's FUN and the muzzle blast is crazy.

GI has a lighter "government issue" bbl as opposed to target bbl. Supposedly it eats cheaper mil surp ammo better too

You should totally get one. The only thing stopping me is this obnoxious eating thing. Stupid stomach.

We have sold a boat load of these PTR GI rifles and have had great feedback from the customers. The price is also very attractive .

I own a PTR 91 F I bought from Pat at metroshot years ago; one of may favorite rifles I like to look at it more than shoot it. With a pinned mag its a real PITA to load.
