Why would anyone shoot the car to stop it? Would you not shoot the driver in the face instead?RIP iTrader: Feedback Profile for L4DComment

Understood, I was simply pointing out that if the guy wants a round that can stop a car, why not?(and yes, I hate the idiotic banter about zombies that seems to come up on this forum far more than it should, whatever).Comment

5.56 will bust up an engine.
And you might shoot up an engine instead of a driver because while the driver may stupid, hes not being "fatally" stupid, so you bust up his engine and voila! No more driving problems.
6.5 grendel is a great round for distance shooting, 6.8 is good for short range.Comment

5.56 will break the plastic parts after it makes it through the hood or bounces through the grill or ping off the radiator. 7.62 will break even more but .50BMG will go right through any portion of the engine, including the block on an average car. This is one of the handful of reasons the M107 was really, really useful on tower duty in Iraq. It's also why warning shots with a Ma Deuce can go from "hey, don't get so...oh sorry I destroyed your car" in 2.5 seconds.
I've seen 5.56 just get stuck in the door and sometimes make it through. 7.62 will pass through the door and out the other side, sometimes putting holes in people along the way.
But whatever you do, do not shoot full auto 10.5" ARs inside a vehicle with the windows rolled up. You'll lose them all and it won't be because of the high velocity pieces of lead zipping out of the muzzle. Of course it allows you to believably claim that the bad guys hit all the windows at the same time you fired, as they beat the crap out of you for the hearing loss.--BrandoComment

This thread has gone crazy LOL
I think each caliber has its uses =) I can see why people like the little 223 and i can also see why people like larger calibers as well. The 223 is a deadly little round but no one can deny the knock down power of a larger caliber and heavier bullet. Its sorta like the 9mm vs the 45 guys , I think in this case you can say the 223 is the 9mm and the 300blk or even the 50 beowolf would be the 45. I think having an upper that shoots a heavy slow bullet with alot of knock down power and also having a 223 upper would make for a very interesting pair, As they say " I like big Bullets and i can't lie "---> Want to buy Misc AR15 parts , Mainly LPK pieces <---
Will trade as well , PM me with what you have. I can trade a wide variety of stuff so let me know what your looking for.Comment
