well, its def legal if thats what you mean. Some folks go with them because the heavier mass supposedly helps with cycling. I built my AR pistol with one for that very reason.

On the other hand, it may be fixing a problem that you dont have...

Don't go cheap on your BCG. I think that and mags are one of the most important parts of a rifles function.

Look at used LMT BCM Ect. On the classifieds. But I got my BCM BCG new with my upper for $130... So an extra $10 or $20 for a BNIB BCG... Worth it to me.
