Drool.. another semi 1966 H&K G3 for sale.

Here is another model imported before the 41. It has the lower pin location located in a different place. This is before they eliminated the third hole altogether.

Some guns imported before this had receivers that were no different to an actual G3. Only the lower trigger housing was a semi auto..

Too much money for me, but if you you got spare cash go for it. It is an Off List receiver, so CA legal with a Radd Lock device! I have nothing to do with this auction.

I think they were all imported around the same time... the date of mfg always seems to be between 61 and 64ish for the G3/41/43's, and they were full-autos that were converted. They're pre-68 exempt. My BM-59 was a pre-68 exempt gun.

Very nice rifle though. But he's acting like there are only 2 in the country. It is a very rare rifle but there are a number of them here... back in 2000 they were selling for about $4-4.5k. $11k is just nuts.

Its funny, once the prices go up for what ever reason on these original imports (HK, FN-FAL, IMI, Steyr Aug, etc), they seem to stick up there.

A lot of sellers don't want to lose their shirt on what they originally paid. The AWB sunset was probably a blessing and curse to them.

Yeah, I passed one up at $5k. I just couldn't see spending that on one klunky rifle. They're not very comfortable to shoot. The inertia of the rolling block mechanism produces quite a bit of recoil that doesn't need to be there.

Belgium FALs are a different story altogether though. Those were top dollar even before the ban was considered. Silly collectors.

I'd rather have this for $11k than a lot of AK kits.

                        Nice weapon...I love the wood

I have the same wood on my preban HK-91.....including the forward stock; but I run the weapon with the normal stock because the Bi-Pod won't fit on the wood stock.

In anycase, the wood feels good and adds some character and history to these fabulous weapons.

(I'am kinda glad I bought the wood when I did. B&B Sales had only a few wood kits back in 1991 ish).

Fewer people are killed with all rifles each year (323 in 2011) than with shotguns (356), hammers and clubs (496), and hands and feet (728).

Bought one of those enfields before but I really wanted a HK kit.
There are some nice German kits out there. Some are heavily used. Had a Ebo sar 3 and JLD Kurtz. Next one will be all german and USA, mil spec barrel, parked with weld on shell deflector, od stock set, and poly lower with my 22lr kit in it.
