    Removing Trigger Guard

Trying to punch out the roll pin on my trigger guard, but I cannot for the life of me, get that pin to budge. It's my understanding that it doesn't require too much force to do so, so I thought I'd ask the advice of more patient Calgunners before I go and hulk smash my lower receiver.

Make sure you back up the ear with a block of wood or plastic so you don't break an ear off. Use the proper sized roll pin punch as it will keep the punch centered and not try to enter the pin and expand it.

      Exactly what chuck762 just stated!

I use a 1/8" steel punch with a block of wood behind one of the ears for support. Try removing the grip if it gets in the way of the supporting wood/plastic item.
