Best made DSA...also counts as a Compliance part for your build, a bit pricey...but it's American made and may be the only source after January 2006..
I also like the Imbels, even the big lugged CAI (Century) imports.
If I was stuck in Kali I would stock up on a few of these.
Entreprise is junk IMHO.
No experience with the other.Comment

Coonan Arms rcvrs have had positive reviews, even from Gunplumber.
I believe they're sold under another name via Federal Arms Corp in MN.
Stay away from Williams receivers, esp the aluminum ones!!!
All my FAL receivers are Imbel. I lose a compliance part, but at the time DSA was backlogged. Easy enough to make up with another compliance part - I use hammer/trigger/sear, pistol grip, stock, charging handle and muzzle brake for a total of 7 parts.

You picked a bad time to start looking for a FAL receiver. With the recent rulings by the ATF/DOJ (whichever one of those butthole agencies). Imbel receivers are no longer allowed for importation.
So in essence:
Coonan: dont' believe they're still made, or if they are, very pricey $400
DSA: About $375-$450
Imbels (before the ban, $180-200). Now they go for about $300-$350.I'm Rick James...Be-otch!!!!

DSA about $400; Coonan not being made at the moment, but should be in few months; Imbel $250 to $300, if you can get one, it can not be imported after the end of this year.Originally posted by rssslvrthanks.how much is a dsa, coonan or imbel receiver?

Here you go:
Dan Coonan soon to be sold through Harlen (of old FAC fame!)
But I remember these costing $200-250 from FAC.
DSA:
I won't tell you how, but there is a way to get these for ~$325 each + $8 shipping (not including DROS & FFL fee).

Entreprise in California (of all places) are supposed to be made better now than once before. They did have a bad rep though!
And don't forget... Century has them made too:
in inch pattern for $129.87
I can't imagine those being very good though.
The big issue with parts compliance isn't just with U.S. made receivers... it's getting harder to find H/T/S as well!
For U.S. stocks... if you don't like the plastic stuff and prefer wood, like me, IronWood (San Jose, down the street from Bill!!) has almost all but STOPPED producing FAL wood! (or so he told me) It looked like the AK stuff has been keeping him busy.

imbels used to be the best deal around but now they are less common and helluva more expensive, i got lucky with mine for decent prices at the beginning of the year.
as far as Entreprise goes, they got their stuff togther as far as i know now, the guarantee their products and there were no problems with recent batches. if i were to build another one i would consider getting one from them - at least they have some available.
they had some inch ones recently too but id ont have an inch kits
dsa is the best quality as far as i know but really damn expensive, it would just be cheaper to get an already built DSA gun

Dealer's Warehouse ( http://www.tdwsales.com/page/page/232510.htm ) in Modesto will soon have a batch (the last I am told) of Imbels for sale. They have a wait list they'll fill first but will still have ones left for sale after. Dealer price should be 240-250 (or your price if you order directly with a transfer FFL) they say. As of today they say it'll be out abouy 3 weeks.Comment

I am on the waiting list for two since April. I've been told two weeks every time I call since June, I am not holding my breath.Originally posted by TonyNorCalDealer's Warehouse ( http://www.tdwsales.com/page/page/232510.htm ) in Modesto will soon have a batch (the last I am told) of Imbels for sale.
