Smartgunner upper deal gone?

I just checked the Smartgunner page this morning to finally pull the trigger on one of the build your own Daniel Defense upper deals, and it's not there on the website anymore! Did they stop offering this?

Tommy is no longer taking orders for these uppers due to a couple of reasons. He may bring the deal back, but it will be at least 30 days before anything is restructured with Daniel Defense. Here's a few of the reasons Tommy mentioned on TOS about the deal.

- All of the current orders are being filled and Tommy hopes they can be filled fast now he doesn't have any new orders coming in.

- He's no longer accepting any orders on complete or stripped uppers for at least 30 days

- He decided to quit taking orders so he can work on improving his customer service for the next run, since that was the biggest complaint people had about he and his company.

- He and Daniel Defense are going to work on improving the process involving orders and the pricing scheme.

- Once he feels that his customer service has improved and he along with Daniel Defense have worked out a deal that won't leave people with sour tastes in their mouth...the deal may come back.

I sure hope the deal comes back, and comes back soon. I really wanted to order the 18" package, but was on travel the last week of the month and couldn't get my order in.

Tomorrow is the last day for orders at this pricing under this program!

We NOT be taking any additional orders after tomorrow midnight for custom uppers for the next few weeks. With our inability to effectively communicate and the backlog of orders currently in the system it does not benefit either us or Daniel Defense to continue to add to the problem.

We are going to take the month of January (at the very least until after SHOT) to revise the process and complete the existing orders as quickly as possible.

It is our hope that as part of the revamp we will again be able to offer pinning services among other custom options as well as a new offer around complete rifles.

And of course, we will be implementing a better line of communication with our customers to whom we are grateful and have been sorely mistreated.

You should have pulled the trigger a while ago....some folks have been waiting for over a month. The wait wouldn't have been so bad if it didn't occur around the holiday's.
