Trigger for M&P 15T Drop in vs. Bill Springfield?

The stock trigger on this thing is horrible. I would like to upgrade and am torn between the awesome price of 60$ for a 3.5lb trigger from Bill or buying a drop in single stage like Accuracy Speaks. Any recommendations? The gun is a range gun and the use is split between bench 200-300yard shooting and standing 50 - 100 yard shooting.

I have a springfield trigger job in my AR and it breaks clean. Just send your trigger parts in. You will get it back quick. From the time he gets it until you get it back is about a week. Mark

I normally do not make negative posts about other vendors however I think you should review this recent thread: http://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=69659

Triggers are something that I am especially careful with since a double in front of the wrong people can result in some rather unpleasant and at best, uncomfortable situations.

I won't sell an AR here at my shop with a single stage below 4lbs for safety reasons.

I would recommend a Geissele for your stated purposes especially if you want a low trigger weight.

EDIT: 2lbs is way to light for a tactical rifle on a single stage trigger. When you run with a rifle and then put your finger on the trigger with it that light you will have some AD's never mind other reasons to have AD's with a light single stage trigger. You will also miss a lot due to the light weight and high heart rate. A two stage cures all of these and you can have a much lighter, crisper trigger.

Thank you for the replies and the link; now that Bill is no longer an option and I dont plan on doing any running with the AR, but better safe then sorry. Does anyone have any recommendations for a single stage trigger?

Edited the original post to say 3.5lb

I can't say WOW enough times. It's rare I read bad things about Bill's work though I don't venture enough at M4carbine.net. I had him do 4 or 5 of my AR's. And I was planning to send the PTR trigger too along with my Marlin. 795.

I was/am pretty happy with the other work I sent to Bill.

Geissele is a popular response but pricey. Timney used to be in high running the past too. American Trigger Corp is another one that I came across some searches recently. I know there was one more company but can't remember off the top of my head (along the range of Geissele and Timney).
