    Ak help

I was pressing the barrel into the front trunnion and in the process i snapped a little metal round plate off the inside of the front trunnion. It happened from the prssure of it being against the bar i used in the press. Also I bent the damn barrel. My question is can that piece be fixed back on? if not can the front trunnion be taken off the reciever without damaging it. Or did I just waste a reciever?
Mayor Adrian M. Fenty (D) announced. The risk here is that an appeal could lead to an unfavorable Supreme Court ruling, and a legal principle that now applies only to the residents of the nation's capital would extend to the entire nation

How about some pics of the little metal round plate and the inside of the trunnion? You could CAREFULLY grind down the (rivets?) and get the trunnion out to save the receiver.

What kind of little round plate came off? How is the barrel bent?

It is easy to remove the front end if your careful with the dremel, grind down the rivits drill them out slowly and slid the trunion out of the receiver then start over.

The barrel is wasted, now you will have to re-headspace another barrel. Remember to really clean off the rust or old grease on the barrel shank before pressing in. Use some never-sieze too. Make sure it is going in strait and that it is pressing strait also. Good luck
