    if you buy this:

then you should have no issue swapping to a standard mag release within 1-2 minutes when you're out of state or swapping to a .22lr upper.

Call me simple, but i like the standard bullet button without all the HSLD capabilities. I frequent my river house in AZ often, and it literally takes me a minute to swap to the standard mag release.

They are all fairly easy. If you are talking about violating the law in the middle of the night becuase you think some guy is breaking in...don't.

If you are talking about driving to AZ or NV to shoot, then it doesnt matter. Assembling your 30rd magazine and loading it will take 3 times longer then replacing a BB with a normal release.

        Link.

Me and all my buddys have these for when we go out to out shooting spot in a undisclosed location

But if you plan on popin' someone who breaks into your home or what have you. You better have a plan on how your getting this thing out and replaced with a legit BB before the cops show.

These are "legal". But remember the jury aren't gun people. They will tear you apart and make your gun look like a big ol AK taliban 47 and your a** is grass.
As soon as that rifle makes it to court you better plan on seein' your new boy friend Bubba soon there after.

Prosecutes are made to make that little crack in the cement look like a cliff. And they do because the American public doesn't know any better.

Surprised no one's said it yet but the easiest way to turn your mag release into a regular mag release is just to install a regular mag release when you first build your featureless rifle.

Then it doesn't matter. I have never seen a BB that takes longer then 2 minutes to remove. Look at which type you have. the first post shows the easiest tool for removing the common BB.

ignore anyone who post to just commit a crime then cover it up before the police arrive.

So the selector "tool" for position is just a flat blade that would fit within the button? Or does it need to be removed completely and flipped?

I have the Raddlock... it takes a flathead screwdriver and 4 turns on a screw to reverse it if you were to leave the state and want to go back to "normal".

I have a Vamfire MLD. Same concept as the Raddlock but uses a .050 allen key to go from Cali compliant to free state mag release instead of a flat blade screwdriver

I bought the BB Convertable from Golden State Tactical. I find their product intriguing that you can turn the mag release button to 3 different settings with a turn of a screw. Full lock/CA BB/full non-CA mag release.
