    Handguard question

Sorry if this has been answered already, but whats the difference in function between a two piece handguard like a KAC RAS and a free float handguard that requires more work for installation? Is there an accuracy improvement with the Free Float?

The standard two-piece that replaces the plastic handguards just snap into place between the end cap and delta-ring and are held into place under spring tension.

The free-float forearms bolt or screw onto the barrel nut and do not touch the barrel at any point. They are more accurate, and usually more expensive as well.
