    Flowchart question

I have a Pistol grip and a Maglock on my AK. So can i have a folding stock? This one more specifically. http://www.tapco.com/products/ak/ind...d&productId=32

I looked at the flowchart and Im just a bit confused. I dont have a detachable mag. My "fixed" mag holds no more than 10. The flow chart says its legal. But if it were to have detachable mags it says i cant have any "evil" feature.

You may end up having to run like a 26" barrell Not sure how short you can get away with but you need to be at least 30" overall in your shortest configuration. ie. stock folded.

...and your modifications to meet Cali 30" overall length requirements do not have to be permanent. For example, you can use an extended muzzle device without pinning it.

You might want to look at one in person before wasting your money on one. I got one in a parts kit deal and sold it for $15 because I didn't like the quality or design of it at all.

Have you seen an AK in person before? IDK why you would think you need a 26" barrel.

Anyways, you probably just need a fake can or whatever that's around 3 inches. Not sure off the top of my head but I believe UFs are around 26/27 inches when folded.

I would probably skip on the tapco stock like CSA said but do whatever makes you happy. I believe the ACE stock they make for AKs is a little better quality than the tapco one.

In this case, "detachable" is a special legal term meaning "can be removed without using a tool". Properly used, the Maglock you have alters your AK so it cannot accept "detachable" magazines according to that definition - the Maglock requires a tool to operate and release the magazine.

That's how you know you are supposed to answer "no" to the flowchart question about "detachable magazine" and follow the correct path for your rifle.

Without the Maglock or a similar device, you can't have the "features" - pistol grip, folding stock, etc. Think M1A - that's why it isn't an 'assault weapon'.

I dont think I'm new to english... lol "may" does not mean "you need" As mentioned, I dont know how short/long you need to go if you're going to use a folder. Just make sure you're over 30"
