I went shopping today for a white dress shirt for a couple interviews coming up and decided to swing by Ammo Bros. They are a few dollars higher on some items while some are competitive.

I saw the BCM gunfighter charging handle and I don't know if it was lucky they were busy but it gave me time to decide if I really wanted it.

It looked pretty good and I assumed it was the medium sized latch, after all who needs a huge latch right? (they only had in the display the Mod 3) I got home and looked at the label and sure enough it's the large latch.

No matter, it feels awesome and is easier to charge with just my support hand vice the stock one that came on the upper. There is a lot more realestate to grab or palm and pull on and my fingers dont rub the rear sight either.


I need to stay away from gun stores or I'm gonna be in trouble.

An employee gave my client a back-handed compliment, so he decided not to buy anything from them.

Attitude is everything...


The Gunfighter charging handle is very nice. Once you put one of those on, you can't go back to the standard one.

He was talking to one of my coworkers (3 of us w/ him) and one of the staff said something like "everyone needs someone to drive them here", implying that he was an idiot.

He's a cool guy, just shrugged it off. He could probably buy that store 20x over...so I don't think he really cared.

There was an old man in there wanting to buy a shotgun and have them price match. They said they would and as far as I'm concerned bent over backwards to get his sale. In the end the old guy seemed like a lookie-loo and not serious.

They seem like they are nice in Ontario.

Sorry to continue the hijack but I haven't been very impressed with their customer service either. Before I started my first build I went in there asking questions about gas systems and barrel lengths (I was a noob trying to learn about what I was getting myself into). One thing I was told was a midlength gas system won't fit on a 14.5" barrel b/c there isn't enough room. Obviously not true.

I decided to go back one day to look at rail covers and was speaking with somebody else and received condescending answers. I talked to somebody else there that night about vertical grips and got the same thing. So I decided I'll take my business elsewhere. Rifle gear is 4x as far but they're 10x nicer so they get more money

yea I'm a fan of Riflegear for sure, just didn't want to make the drive today.

AmmoBros was about 5-6 dollars more for the bcm gunfighter handle but it would have costs me more than that in gas in my mustang to get there and back. So it worked out for the better.
