    Saiga 7.62x39 dust cover

    Is there any trick for putting the dust cover back, I watched videos on youtube for saiga field strip and it all looks easy but mine for pete sake is giving me a hard time putting the dust cover back.....

    Make sure the front of the cover is in the curved groove in the rear of the sight block. Line it up relatively straight over the receiver, and slam it on. If the rear recoil spring lug is binding things up, push it forward a little so that the cover clears.

      What he said. It takes a little practice at first to get it back on, but you'll figure it out soon enough. Don't be afraid to give it a good smack (remember, it's an AK!)

        i line up the back make sure its somewhat square to the ridges it catches on while applying slight pressure to the return spring button. then i push in the front of the dust cover to its
        locking area then push in the spring while pushing down on the dust cover

              Mine was slightly tweaked in the back when I first got it and would not go back on. I ended up having to use a hammer to bend the back of it inward. Had me pretty frustrated for a good 30 minutes though
