    Ergo Suregrip grip wobbles

Is there some trick to getting the Ergo grip to tighten up to the lower? I have 2 rifles now with this grip, one is almost tight the other rocks back and forth. I put the plastic bushing/plug part that came with it in indicated direction but it's still loose.

If you can get the grip to seat correctly (all the way to the lower receiver) then it sounds like there is something wrong with the connecting bolt/hardware. If the grip won't seat using hand pressure alone then may be there is something out of spec between the lower and the grip. Try swapping with your other weapon - that should help narrow down the issue.

I have Ergo grips on all of mine and none have the wobbles.
There are no great men. Just great challenges which ordinary men, out of necessity, are forced by circumstance to meet.

If you are close by, bring it in the shop, we would be happy to take a look at it for you.

I had to add a washer or two to mine. After that, nice and solid. Did yours come with a screw and washer or are you using the screw from you lower parts kit?

mine came with a screw and a plastic L shaped (vaguely) bushing. The grip is seated all the way up, but if you go to one hand hold, (for example to grab a fresh mag)you can feel the grip tilt, one of them tilts substantially, say about 3/16". I'll get them out and take some photos and see if I'm missing something. The washers sound like a good idea, as the design of the grip leaves a large oval hole where it meets the receiver (also wher the 1/4" bolt goes through) which seems like an all around bad idea but i love the way these grips feel/fit my hand.

+1. Had the same issue on one of mind. Dug in my spare parts and found a washer and wallah... worked like a charm. It might have a small effect on your saftey detent pressure though. It might be lighter then you like to switch from F to S vice versa. I just modified my spring a lil bit and its cool now.
