Fiber composite lower?

Yeah, as long as they're designed right, there shouldn't be any issues. I think Professional Ordinance worked out all the major issues with the carbon lowers back when they were producing the Carbon-15. I don't think they changed anything when Bushmaster took them over. And it was... Cavalry Arms I think? basically had a polymer complete lower out for ages now. With the exception of the early Carbon-15s, all of them are durable and function just fine.Comment

I bought one from the last group buy in Fresno. I have taken it to the range once already. I fired roughly 100 rounds through it. It functioned fine. It is lighter than the traditional metal lowers but its not bad at all. The barrel does seem slightly front heavy but the overall weight of the rifle is very nice.
The lower parts kits is also made from the same polymer. I noticed that the trigger pull is slightly less than my Bushmaster and DS Arms AR-15. Maybe the plastic gives a little when you're squeezing the trigger, I don't know exactly. So far it has held up nicely. I will taking it out to the range this Sunday to test it out further.
Good luck with your purchase. I think you will be happy with a Plum CrazyNRA LIFE MEMBERComment

Yup you guys are right. Its the plum crazy ones and I cant pass up the deal. I know my wife is going to kill me cause I just bought 2 guns in the past month, but for 112 bucks, I cant beat it!
I was also worried about the balance of the rifle, but if I put a nice scope it should be a bit better.California's politicians and unionized government employees are a crime gang that makes the Mexican drug cartels look like a Girl Scout Troop in comparison.Comment

The description of inexpensive implies it is not the most rugged/durable? What are its shortcomings other than the low weight throwing off the balance?sigpic

No, the plum crazy lower would be a fake AR. As such, you should give it to me so you don't have to risk being called a poser by various elitists and mall ninjas.
Anyways, op, I just took my PC and shot 800 rounds thru her the other day. No, not personal computer, plum crazy.so far I have had 1500 rounds since I picked her up a month ago. Runs great ad no worries.

It is much more high tech than old fashioned aluminum.
Point is, a composite lower is fine, maybe better than aluminum.Comment

^ go see 1000 round challenge. A 1911 got super hot due to heat from ye cartridge after 600+rd. A Glock was cool to the touch even after 1000 rounds shot thru it. That kind of shows how polymer can handle heat pretty well tooOriginally posted by GottmitunsIt's not protecting the rights of the 1%, it's IMPOSING new laws because of the 1%.Comment
