The 2nd Amendment isn't about shooting sports.

There are a multitude of threads about meltdowns and SHTF scenarios. Don't you think zombies are somewhat similar to what hunger-crazed individuals would act like during a meltdown? Hrmm.. Could that be what they mean when they refer to zombies?

I remember the Internet was slow to a crawl immediately after 9/11, at least to major news sites. Everyone was looking for information, I'd assume cell phone communication would be the first to feel the effect during SHTF.

Actually, if you are in your car & are attacked (you=unarmed) ROAD FLARES are friggin' deadly. No joke. After igniting, if one is "flicked" hard (like a wand), the burning magnesium launches and sticks to 'whatever' it lands on. (If you don't keep road flares in your car, then you're not only out of luck....but unprepared)

My $10 is still safe, but still out there if you weenies want to stop playing video games long enough to have a discussion about WHY you have self defense weapons. If you haven't determined the most likely threats, you probably have not prepared for them. Just having a 12 gage with a pistol grip and 8 round mag or a black rifle with lots of pretty jewelry hanging off it does not make you prepared. It's a leg up on most folks but that's about it. You're a leg up on an UNARMED man/woman. C'mon girls, ante up!


FWIW, I'm in Tijuana, Sonora, Mexico this week so posting responses will take time. They're still 3rd world, but have a ton of first rate offensive equipment. And it's on display just about everywhere. Coming down here will give you a firsthand view on why so many cross illegally into the US.

If you haven't determined the most likely threats, you probably have not prepared for them. My grandma is 90 and she still has a sense of humor. Oh, since when do you need a reason "WHY" to have self-defense weapons? That's kind of like "good cause" when applying for CCW, nothing is good enough. lol
