Where to buy an AR-15 Upper?? (What's included)

So I'm putting together my first AR-15, I've got a CMMG lower half that i built just waiting to find an upper half.

My question is when i go to buy an upper half what usually comes with the upper, does it include the bolt, and charging handle?? or is that usually extra.
Im wanting to buy an upper that is ready to go, just have to hook it up with the lower half.

Another question, because i have a CMMG lower if i choose a spikes tactical upper, or another brand will the different brands match up fine?

Any suggestions on good places to buy??

    Thanks

depends. BCM doesnt include in the base price, but you can add on. Others, the price is included. just make sure you read the description.

brands will match up fine. Like i just said in another thread, the colors might not match 100%, and there might be a little wiggle but that is NOT a problem. Too many guys on here complain about this non-issue.

    try bravocompanyusa.com
    spikestactical.com
    marksarmory.com
smartgunner.com is having deals on DD uppers.

      Most uppers fit most lowers.

On many sites you have to add a BCG and CH with your upper, and you may have to add HG's as well. Id highly reccomend BCM for both quality and value. If you need help ordering the right one for you, please PM me and I'll walk you through the process.

It really depends. If you see it described as "complete", it should be ready to slap on a lower and shoot. Even then, you may need to add a rear sight. The handguards, BCG and charging handle should all be included with a "complete" upper. A "stripped" upper will be a barreled receiver. You will have to add the handguards, BCG and charging handle yourself.

Last one I bought came from the M4Store. The Stag 0H upper at $445 is a good piece of gear at a good price.
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

Also i'm noticing that some of the uppers that are more expensive seem to have a handle that is a square shape and not just the normal round style, what makes these better over the oval style?

Generally the only missing parts might be a bolt carrier group and charging handle

Some uppers come with everything and some are missing the BCG and charging handle. If you read the listing it will normally tell you if the bolt carrier group and charging handle do or don't come with it. Every upper assembly I ever bought came with everything but I have seen a fair number that did not include the bolt carrier group and charging handle. Generally the more pieces you get in a single buy the better the deal, so for example it is more expensive to buy a barrel, an upper receiver, bolt, bolt carrier, bolt carrier parts, gas block, gas tube, hand guard, etc. as separate pieces than it is to buy a complete upper with all those parts included.

1/7 is desirable if you're shooting longer (heavier) bullets. If you plan to use 75gr bullets or heavier/longer, you'll want the faster, tighter twist. If you're shooing 55/62gr or lighter, 1/9 will be fine.
