Are all ar lowers generally the same?

i recently was told that all ar lowers are the same as for the frame. So it doesnt matter what you lower you have its the inside that matters. I recently purchased a lower at ammo bros and switched out the inside with a DPMS lower kit, it that just as good as the majority lowers?

Before you continue to run down the list creating the generic "new to firearms" threads that we see way too much of, let me first introduce you to the Calguns Google custom search.

Most AR lowers are the same and will do the same job. Sorry i edit my first post, i didnt mean to say dpms was not good. Just that Ive read alot prefer the RRA, Stag lpk. If you want to buy a carbon lower, then you need to do some research becus those can be crap.

The majority of lowers are within spec to make things work. Sometimes there are the crappy companies that make out of spec lowers. Holes not lining up correctly, upper not fitting.

There will be slight variances, some will fit tigher to your upper then others but that also goes for the uppers too. Generally the difference is construction (billet vs forged), aesthetics, slightly different anodizing, different rollmarks, etc.

                    IMO…
When you’re dealing with firearms and firearm accessories, you’ll find out real quick that you get what you pay for..

So my advice is buy the best you can afford and then save up for the next piece. You’ll be much happier that way in the long run.

For lowers, as long as it's milspec, it's all the same. Just pick the logo you want. Deer, spider, etc..
