I'm starting to have a change of heart,I think i'm going to convert my Saiga but I don't have very many tools and my DIY skills suck so i'm thinking about getting it done professionally.Anyone know of any places close to Sacramento that can do it for me.Norse armory is a bit to far for me so thats out of the question.I emailed a place called J&G gun smithing to see if they can do it and for what price.Haven't heard from them yet as it is past business hours. But if anyone can give me any info on them or any other places close by I could go to that would cool.

The cost of buying a Dremel is almost the same as some places charge to do the conversion lol. That, in addition to a few other small tools (hammer, punch, screwdriver, spraypaint, etc...) are really all you need.
Here's a good link to get your started:

The basic conversion is so easy. Most folks should be able to do it without issue as long as they have tools.
The one area of the conversion that can get challenging is the bullet guide. That area is tricky because you can break a tap off in the trunion.Comment

The only thing you have to worry about is, just dremel enough to get the rivet out, don't want to dremel into any part of the gun you are keeping. That's the only tedious part. The rest of the conversion is just putting parts together.RKBA Clock: soap box, ballot box, jury box, cartridge box (Say When!)

Oops, yeah. Here's what I did. I used the dremel to flatten out rivets. Then I drilled them out. If you don't want to buy a dremel, just use a flat file to make a flat enough spot to drill on. Or you might be able to just center punch the rivet. I was scared of that so I made the flat spot first. When I drilled, a used a "too small" drill bit first. Then evaluated if I should go to a bigger bit, or just sort of pry/pull the leftover metal away from the rivet hole before punching out the rivet.RKBA Clock: soap box, ballot box, jury box, cartridge box (Say When!)

Do you plan to weld up the holes? What about the trigger guard? Your gonna want to read up on hammer follow and how to tune your FCG to eliminate that condition. There are 3 kinds of people in this world.
The wise, learn from the mistakes of others.
The smart, learn from their own mistakes.
The others, well......they just never learn.
