Do You Oil & Grease LPK Pins & Springs?

I saw the MidwayUSA video for installing an AR lower parts kit where most of the pins were oiled and most of the springs were either oiled or had a dab of Tetra grease applied. Most of the instructions I see online for installing a lower parts kit don't mention any oil or grease. Is the oil and grease necessary for keeping the parts from corroding, or for function, or is it unnecessary?

Also, in that video blue locktite was applied to the buffer tube threads. Again, I don't see that mentioned in many of the instructions I see online. Is it necessary? I can't see how any of this would hurt but I'd like to be sure before I put together my first lower receiver.

    Thanks.

I don't put any oil in there as I don't want dirt, carbon sticking to those parts. I've never had a malfunction that was the result of a problem with the lower. Only mag and ammo related malfunctions.

I've never greased/lubed any LPK parts on assembly. They seem to already have a very light lube on them out of the box. Is the tube part of a stock kit or just by itself? I don't have loctite on either of my carbine builds, though I did put a dab on my pistol setup.

I did use a patch with a dab of clp to wipe down all the parts in my lpk before installation. Not really because they needed it more so just because I'm anal like that.

No to locktite, yes to properly staking the end plate/castle nut.

I usually put a quick spray of CLP in there. When I clean, I just use a q-tip and wipe around.

I oil the pins and give everything a wipe with an oiled patch. I also grease the disconnector latch and the trigger/hammer interface ever so lightly. Never had a problem with grit. Maybe if I was in a sandstorm-prone area, id leave it dry..

I put oil on the lpk with the exception of the trigger group...I put grease on the contact points.
