How dark is the Daniel Defense FDE?

I'm thinking of ordering a RIS II rail in FDE. I understand it's darker than your traditional FDE but in different photos the exact color looks different. I posted two examples below. They're both the same rail but, as you can see,
they look completely different.

Has anyone seen how dark it actually is?

does anyone have any idea what the DD FDE rail actually looks like? ... or does someone have a more accurate photo? any info would be appreciated.

It's hard to anodize FDE with any consistency at all. I've seen the DD FDE rails look almost copper colored before and also almost brown. Don't expect it to match your Magpul FDE furniture.

Actually I'm not trying to make it match anything.

From what I heard it's already darker than standard FDE ... but just how dark?

I actually want to see the darker brown against my otherwise black rifle.

So, what you're saying is that the DD FDE rails are inconsistent in color?
