This is my current rifle (except mine has a 24" bbl barrel and olive green receiver set):
I want to convert the current setup to 6.5 grendel and at the same time move the .223 components onto another upper. I plan on using the same bolt carrier, handguard, and upper from the r15 on the 6.5. I haven't decided on the gas block yet.
For the most part, I am set on buying a 20" heavy fluted barrel. Currently I am deciding between sabre defense and satern. The sabre defense barrel I want (competition special) does not have a rail gas block (for sights) and I am pretty sure it is not ported for rifle length gas tubes. I could buy all of the components separately, but I am not sure exactly where to start.

If I get an 18" barrel, I need to get a quad rail for the mid-length gas system. My receiver set is green, so if I replace the stock and handguard I would like them to be green (preferably camo). Does anybody know of any quad rails that come in camo, and if not, how one would go about painting the rail (green or camo)?
