chipped chrome at the muzzle, Problem??

Picked up my first Ak 2day ago, a WASR 10/63, last night I took a close look at the muzzle, I noticed a small Chrome chip at the muzzle, is it something that I have to worry? thank

If you're going for accuracy it looks that that damage will allow for the uneven distribution of gas around the bullet as it exits your muzzle. From the picture the chip looks pretty deep and almost certainly ruined your barrel crown.

Not dangerous, but it will effect accuracy

AK aren't known for their accuracy anyway so it might be an only theoretical problem, but target shooters go to great lengths to insure that the muzzle crown is exactly right. Even using the wrong angle on the muzzle can cause some unpredictable deflection of the bullet, but a chunk out of the crown is almost surely going to create some unpredictable turbulence. You should be able to get the crown fixed for very little money. You can even do it yourself with a drill and the right cutter (they don't cost much). I have even seen it done with some grinding compound ad a screw mounted in a drill. I would be a bit concerned to know if the rest of the chrome plating was coming loose, but it would make sense that a bit of corrosion would first get under the chrome at the muzzle so there may be nothing to worry about.

1) that crown is very screwed up. You do need to have it re-crowned unless you just like to hear a bang and don't care where they go.

2) it appears the barrel is rusted/corroded inside. If you bought this from a store, I'd take it back ask for a replacement. If you got it from a private-party, I'd guess it's on you.

yes, the crown looks screwed up. get the crown refinished or get a new barrel

Thank for all the suggestion, I think I going to bring it back to the store that I bought it from, see what they can do.
By the way，do anyone know any AK gunsmith around bayarea do the crown refinish?

thats why you ask how many there are and choose the best one.

there was 2 on the shelf when i bought mine and one in the back. i chose mine and that baby is perfect, CLP gets rid of corrosiveness

That was my bad, the store have 3 to let me choose. I checked everything but forgot to remove to muzzle brake to check the muzzle. I really hate myself now.
