There is also Uncle Ed's that I go to which is like right across the street.
Do you know where Santa Lucia Bank is in Atown? If your facing the entrance to the bank, Atascadero Arms will be across the street on your left in this little two story building. Uncle Ed's will be behind you and to the right, across the El Camino inside a shopping center with a bakery and a tanning saloon (I think thats what it is).
Both are nice stores, and they both have very friendly staff. If neither one has what your looking for, they're both more then happy to order it for you. I will say this about Uncle Ed's though, I was curious about getting an AK over the summer (Got a SKS instead tho :P), and if your not into building them yourself, they will order it for you, then install the BB, and turn the mags into 10/30 for a reasonable rate.Freshly graduated Aircraft Structural Stress/Weights engineer looking for work!Comment

Give Dick a call at Dick's shootin irons. He's a local FFl, VERY knowledgable, and best of all, he's a sponsor. If you need a contact number, send me a pm. GREAT GUY!!!!sigpic"Keep your dick beaters off my guns"Comment

I've been to Atascadero Arms before, it's kind of hard to find, but the guy behind the counter was very nice, and seemed to know his stuff. It was an older guy, i forgot his name, but he was very personable and answered all the questions I asked."The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure."

Heres the thing, my sister lives in Templeton which is the neighboring town. She lives out in the country off of the 41 out near Creston. She recently went through a divorce and has a restraining order on my brother in law since he was abusive. When I go down for the holidays I want to take he to a nice store to look for a pistol for personal protection and at least pick up some pepper spray to leave in her purse. My brother in law has followed her a few times but has stayed beyond the order distance so all the police could do is file a report. I feel for her safety and want to get he enrolled in a SD course as well.Previous iTrader rating, over 150 Positive ratingsComment

^Sorry to hear that.
Ive been to Atascadero Arms about half a dozen times while heading out to the Central Coast for a weekend get away.
Great place with even better people. Its a little hard to find but its worth it once you do find it. For as small a place it is the walls are covered in guns LOL. Ive bought everything except a complete gun from them and their customer service is top notch. Plus they are very friendly with helping you find a safe place to shoot firearms for the out of towners. I even carry a business card of theirs in my wallet as a reminder to check em out when I am heading that way.Originally posted by aklonIn 1775 we stood up.

They have a new location. They recently moved to Morro Rd. location, almost same spot the other atascadero guns USED to be. Corner of Morro rd.(hwy 41) and Portola rd.sigpic"Keep your dick beaters off my guns"Comment

+1 on Atascadero Arms. They are one of the few dealers that acknowledge the GSSF discounts on Glocks. Next nearest is San Jose , or Santa Maria. I will definitely do business with them again , when I get some more cashflowOriginally posted by jumbopandaAre we talking taking the tip off every time or just hitting it somewhere along the shaft? The latter is not that impressive. Not saying it's easy, but I'm sure many people could do it. I could probably do it myself at least 50% of the time.Comment

I live a few blocks away, i shoot with the guys a uncle eds and know the group at A-town arms real well. They both about the same on prices and service. I have bought several guns from both of them. They are exactly the same accept for product. They carry different stuff. I like Uncle Eds bec i know them well, we shoot together all the time and I glady trust them with me guns... Its really a toss up if you just want to pick up a hand gun for her.
Im sorry to hear about the guy. I can help if you need advice...Comment
