I had a blast building my AR and now im looking into getting a long range sniper rifle. Question here is is it possible to build one out or do i have to buy or have one built? I know i could go with another AR platform but would like to try a different platform this time around , just curious.?.?!

You can do it with a Surgeon, Bat, Stiller, Fowler,Lawton, custom action and then use a barrel nut assembly and build a complete rifle by yourself.Frank

I like the rem 700 receiver to start, tons of parts stocks, precision stuff sold for it.
Ar10 platform can be down super easy. Depending on how far u go with it it can cost a lot of money. I like the 6.5 Grendel but there is not much ammo and brass sold for it and not a ton known about the round but wow is it a great round. Now I say not much compared to 308, 223, 6.8 spc. Seems like a lot of people like the 6.8 but for a target puncher I just like the 6.5 better.
Take a look at ar10 in 308 and remington 700 in 308 and compair parts vs performance. Do u like semi auto? Rather have a bolt? Wanna hunt with it? Want something to tinker with and custom ever part of it?Comment
