I first heard of them at Reno's Great Western Gun Show in August '08 and '09. Even with repeated invites, they declined to shoot the FCSA match that weekend. I saw them again at SHOT '10 but, have never seen their rifles in action.

            Thats how I feel lol.

            But 2400 for a 416 Barret...not a bad price at all

Plus that semi auto AR style 338 lapua is a badass piece of equipment.

I was just wondering if people new if they performed or not, or if it was a fly by night company lol

Like almost all companies that produce large bores, they are a smaller company but, I don't think they are fly by night. I just haven't heard of any first hand reports (from sources I trust to be non-bias) about their performance.

I am just going through the paranoid phase that I need a large bore rifle before they get ****canned in cali

OK, so what caliber are you looking for and what do you intend to do with it? If you are just looking for something that makes a big bang, anything is going to do you fine. If you are looking for something that you can really shoot sub moa at +1000 yards, you will need to do a lot of research and not let pricing dictate your purchase. That's not to say that a less expensive gun will not shoot <moa but, many don't.

Well to be honest I doubt I would be able to fully use a rifle with those capabilities for a long while, until I practice more. I had a chance to practice shooting 700+ yards with a .308, and It was highly addicting. I did just purchase my own .308 to do this with, but something is very enticing about going beyond 1000+ yards.

Plus I want to get one just in case they do start banning all large bore rifles in CA>

I was actually looking at these options for 1000+ yds

                      A) Sako TRG 42 .338 Lapua

                      B) Building a Remi 700 MLR .338 Lapua

                      C) Barret 98 in .416

but then I came across the Noreen rifles...just planning things out

If I was taking down bad guys on the government's dime, that semi-auto .338LM rifle would be sweet. Given the cost of .338LM ammo, I think I'll stick to a bolt gun. I'd be too tempted to blow through $200 worth of ammo in 10 seconds.

Yup that Bad news .338 lapua has caught my attention a few times and almost commited to get one about 6 months ago. I just cant get beyond the sticker shock LOL. Maybe after a nice raise or if prices come down a bit for the ammo.

It is piston driven so I wonder about the accuracy. Plus .338 LM is not cheap to feed so I am happy with my single shot 29" barrel Ferret. They will do other chamberings as well.
