full auto bcg on a semi auto platform?

can you use a full auto bcg in a semi auto AR15? on the bcm website, it says that it is NOT UNLAWFUL. and it doesnt specify if its legal or not to ship to certain states.

True, it IS lawful to use a FA BCG in a semi auto weapon. The BCG doesnt make the weapon full auto, the fcg does, or rather the sear switch. The only difference between the FA and SA BCG is the FA is heavier and stronger, if you look at the rear of the bolt, you will see more material on the FA than the SA. I beleive BCM only offers FA and you should have no worries in purchasing one and using it in your CA compliant Semi Auto ar15. Enjoy

I'm a newb and I agree. I try my best to search but say when I try to search for "daniel defense" it'll pull up posts with daniel and posts with defense. Doesn't it normally pull up results only with both words. Then I still can't find what I'm looking for. Is there a way to change this in the search feature?

Are you using the regular forum search or the Google search? I have found the former to be fairly useless, whereas the Google search (right below it in the pop-down menu) is pretty good.

Web Search Basics

Last time this question was asked and replied to was 2 months ago, hardly one of the cases where it is asked every other day. Although, which is better threads and how do i get a legal AR threads are constantly posted and are very annoying, however, I simple ignore them.

A simple search would have answered Silent's question but then again, is this not a Forum? Every single question asked has already been asked and already answered somewhere else, either here or on another forum. Secondly, I don't find that anyone is forcing you or I to read any of these posts here, and especially respond to them... For one reason or another, the op was unable to find the answer to his question, so he has (like many before him) come to calguns to seek advise, and expecting help, rather he gets pummeled... for what? asking a question? Maybe just pass by his post in the future, someone will eventually help him out. when people cease to help others, thats when the forum will fail to be what it is suppose to be.

Guaranteed, once upon a time everyone has asked a question that was already answered recently and failed for some reason or another to find it on their own.

To bad these don't work with the Calguns search engine. i would love to be able to search for EXAMPLE "Full Auto BCG" and only get post with all 3 of these words, rather I get every post that has 1 of any 3 words. Pretty annoying.

What I do generally, is use the find function within the returned search results, so I search "BCG" and then Control-f "Auto". Sucks when your searching and you get 50pages of results. If that fails, I google or yahoo search, if that fails further, then I ask.

I personally frequent this site to learn and to help, its unfortunate when people cant come to a forum and ask a simple question with out someone ridicule them. Granted, I havent been here nearly as long as most, maybe some have just forgot what it was like to be someone who didn't know any better. This mentality I have struggled with for a long time in my expertise of work, and have learned to put myself back into the shoes of someone who doesnt know squat... thats or I just shut the hell up and move on with my life

The intent wasn't to ridicule, but to help out. A lot of people (in general) don't know how to maximize search engines. I usually skip the Calguns search and go straight to Google.

Good question and it's always good to play it safe.
BTW, beware of the " *hit on the new guy for asking questions" people.
Ignore it and keep asking questions.
This sight's search tool is questionable and is sometimes easier to just ask and get answer than to try to get proper syntax for the search string.
