Ok, So I am new here and I imagine this has probably already made its rounds and I am sure some of you will repsond "thats old!! that is sooo last year"

Well, its new to me so be nice :P

I JUST now had this shown to me. OMG this would be soooo fricken cool to have!!! (in my umble yet over bearing opinion )

    1 Peter 3:15

But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect

    2 Corinthians 3:3
You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

it was just a demonstration product to show it can be done.
Magpul never intended to mass produce it.
Later on they changed their story and said it'd be in production.
Now they're silent on the matter.

As with the Monolith Arms fs2000 forend Magpul promised to produce ... they're probably never going to make it.

Wow, that's a pretty cool gadget. I wouldnt mind having one for myself...the only thing that would suck is if you gripped a little too high toward the front in a high stress situation; goodbye index finger

If you see the secret service holding a bunch of these things, you know what's up.

Put a key or combo lock on that and it's a gun case and gun in one.

For those who don't want to click an external link to know what he is talking about, it is the FMG-9 (flashlight box that turns into a sub-machine gun with the press of a button).

The downside is it is very gimichy and it would only take one TV Show or Hollywood movie and everyone and their brother would instantly recognize what it was and you would loose any edge it gave you. It is kind of like a camera with a lense cap on, you're probably gonna fumble it the moment you need it, and they edge it gives you (surprise) only lasts so long as they don't watch TV or movies.

The MP5 Brief Case Sub-Machine Gun it is loosely based on seemed a little smarter if I understand how it worked correctly, as you could use it with the firearm completely concealed. However I am not sure how easily it goes from being concealed in the case to being able to use it like a normal sub-machine gun.

The FMG-9 solves issues like needing a stock for more support and a more stable firing platform, and seems more practical once unconcealed, but I don't like that when in concealment mode you cannot fire it...plus, once you've seen one you will forever be able to instantly recongnize what it is and have no doubt about what you are looking at...that is a major draw back for me. At least with the MP5 Brief Case, you're still gonna fool a lot of people who should know better.

Not something we would ever legally be able to own here in California...but it was an interesting concept.

thanks to the internet most folks probably won't be fooled by a guy walking around with a flashlight attached to a plastic laptop

But consider the environment one would be in while using this. Most likely dark, the bg may not be able to see exactly what it is until they are really close. From 50yards they may only see what appears to be one of those larger bodied flashlights(the ones that take 6V batteries) I dont think I would employ one, but I dont see it as being completely useless... but I cant imagine the legality of this.

i foresee a few cases of "i shot my finger off" with that thing. that forward grip is way too close to the muzzle.
