    AICS or MCM or Manners

So basically I'm trying to get a 700 bolt action together but I dont want to be upgrading or paying for stuff twice in the future.

Basically I've narrowed it down to:

AICS 1.5 or 2.0 ( I dont know if I need the folding stock, is it worth the 200 more), Has DBM and is a complete stock

MCM with badger m5 - 25-35 week wait!!!

Manners with Badger m5 - I dont know much about this company.

I was also looking at some B&C stocks. But lets say I get the a5 and add the DBM. I still need inletting work and bedding which comes out to a hundred or so cheaper than the ones above.

Does anyone have these stocks in the Sacramento Area I can get behind?

Trying to get a feel for one before I drop this kind of money.

I'm in the same boat. I also don't know if I should go for a thumb hole or an A5 style. I know thumb hole stocks are comfortable but I've never shot an A5 stock.

There is a MASSIVE Nor Cal Precision Shooting base... try and find them either here on on Snipers Hide. I think it really comes down to personal preference. If I had to take a guess I'd say Manners is the favored, but that's strictly a guess....

Here's a friend's Manners.........with an AW DBM. I like them better than AICS or B&C.
Here's his thread with details. http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=364287
The NorCal group you seek is at http://www.ncpprc.com/forum/phpBB3/index.php Great source for information.

The NCPPRC seems like they have no threads... or do we have to create an account.

I've been Pm'n "IGGY" about his GAP build. And talking about his old 1.5 AICS

Just an FYI the B&C can use http://www.wyattsoutdoor.com/.308detmag.html without modification.

AICS if you want to shoot NOW( it is a plug and play) otherwise expect a long wait for mcmillian or manners.

AICS is heavy and not everyone likes the thumbhole.
                    BC is heavy.
Manners are ok and are functional, but the detail in workmanship leaves something to be desired.

                    Get the McMillan.

Might Just get the AICS. Sell it later... it holds a pretty good value.
