It is a .30-06 positive feed rifle. Below is a link to a album with pics of the rifle. I know there are other photos in there but it is clear what is the rifle and what is not. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Came across this from a family member.

Actually found a possible thread that explains about my rifle. Mine has the B with the crown but a G also instead of an L

It (was) a Mauser Standard Modell, an ancestor of the famous K98k, produced for export. Shame it was sporterized, if it was original it would be a valuable collector piece.
