I'm prett certain that a wee bit of dremelling to remove what looks like a small chunk of weld on the receiver will make my FAL able to use the magazine catch normally if I put a spring in it. Of course this is illegal hereabouts but I'd like to be able, when in Nevada or something to change mags. I recall reading about mag catches for the FAL that have an Allen screw through them which touches the mag and stops the mag catch working, but can be loosened when in a free state to allow the catch to function. anyone know where i could buy one of these from?

Its so much easier with a PRK bullet buttonI have neither the inclination or the time to relieve people of the regional and ethnic handicaps that they inherited from their ancestors.

So with that you CAN open the action? Still looks kind of goofy though with that block of steel around the catch. Is there a lower profile version somewhere? is there a reason that you can't put a screw through the catch? Does somebody sell catches that are drilled and tapped?Comment
