Model of 1917 bolt disassembly ?

Well, Grandpa's old Remington model 1917 has finally come home to rest with me after being poorly stored by other family for too many years.
It's absolutely filthy and has some surface rust.

I've got the bolt out and I'm trying to figure out how to disassemble it for a thorough cleaning.
Any tips on how to get the bolt apart?

    Thanks!

Great Rifle, The sights have been changed (both the front and rear) Looks like someone had the rear milled off to mount a scope then installed a different set of sights to replace them. Milling off the rear sights was common in years back. I have the same rifle that came from my grandfather. He bought it in the late 40's/early 50's for 16.00 from the DCM with the promise that if the government ever needed it back they could have it. It has taken many deer and elk. It will never be a "Military" configuration again but who cares.....it is a wonderful rifle as is. They were the fore runners of the M700 Remington. If the cock on closing feature bothers, you there is a kit to convert it to a cock on opening. I have always liked the safety on them, Very strong and positive. These are strong well built rifles with many features plagiarized from the Mausers. I bought 35 of the British P14 version one time. Most were converted to belted magnum calibers and my 458 win mag carbine is built on one. Upgraded triggers are also available.

I got a sportered M1917 from my grandfather as well and its taken more than a few elk and deer (mostly his work)! Just got a Timney trigger for it and have to get to the range to try it out with some 30-06 reloads. Love it so much that I bought another in original mil configuration once I got my C&R. Good luck on cleaning that up and get it to the range!
