    Hammerhead pistol grip replacement

    Does anyone have experience using this? Also, would you recommend this vs. the bullet button.?

    HH = 30rd magazine use
    BB = Other features.

    Its a personal choice. Do you want a Collapsible stock, a Pistol grip, a forward grip, A thumb-hole stock, a Flare launcher, or a Flash hider? If Yes to any of these you MUST have a BB. If you go BB you are limited to 10rds or less while in CA.

    If NONE of the above are on your firearm and you will NEVER add them go HH, MMG, Solar, or U15.

        In the eyes of the courts, both are legal. That's all that really matters. The longer we act timidly and don't exercise our rights, the longer our true rights will be withheld from us. Imho. I am a big fan of featureless rifles, and I will be damned if I have to not run a rifle as I see fit within the confines of the law, because somebody who does not fully comprehend it might be upset, or try to be a hero. Whether that be leo, an rso, or another shooter at the range that thinks its their responsibility to lecture me about things they don't understand. Im not trying to bash anyone but the uninformed, regardless of color, creed, affiliations, gender, lifestyle preferences, zip code or food allergies. </legal disclaimer>

          a few years ago featureless > BB, but < Sealed magazine. Sealed magazine was king.

          as of 2010... All forms are seen the same. 99.9% of LEO understand the laws. When an LEO is asking you questions...its not because he doesn't know the answers. He/She is checking if you are going to talk yourself into a new pair of peerless bracelets.

          Its up to you to educate yourself and /or shut up when questioned.

          Most of the time you are not going to get any flack from OFFICIAL LEO...its the FUD guys at the local range who think they are LEO/SEAL/Spec-OPS/DEA/BATFE agents that you have to worry about.

          DAs are not going to waste their time charging you with a crime as long as you were not being stupid to begin with. Speeding away from cops after robbing a 7/11 with a lb of coke...expect an AW charge too.

          If you are driving back from the range and get pulled over for a broken tail light then an LEO decides to take your rifle. Just come here and CGF will work with the system and all charges will be dropped. Thats what they are here for.

          If you own an EBR (evil black rifle) in CA and you do not have CGF and one of the firearm lawyers phone numbers in your cellphone...your an idiot. I have 3 lawyers numbers, the CGF number and several business card on me at ALL times. Daddy didn't raise no fool.

            I keep the davis and associates business card at all times. The one with the "tear in case of emergency" tab. Its both a valuable legal safety item, and totally awesome at the same time.

              The correct word you are looking for is "you're" in your statement, "you are an idiot"

                  I'm a little bit biased but I do have both. It's good to have choices. A featureless rifle such as one you could build with a Hammerhead grip not only lets you use 30 rounders but also 10 rounders dropped with the press of a finger. I've sold bunches of these to shooters in the free states who just want a wooden rifle hold on their gun, maybe a different look to shake things up a bit. So it's not just a compliance issue.

                  Disclaimer: I am probably the only guy in Texas shooting California compliant rifles.

                    BB all day, once you master the BB releasing a magazine is cake. Also, with a nice 10/30 Pmag, my AR looks just the same as any other "free state" AR. And really 10 rounds is all you need between reloads with how much ammo costs. I think even if I could use 30 rounders I wouldn't put more than 20 in them at any time since a box holds 20.

                      I have a hammerhead on my home defense rifle, and I love it, but I don't really need 30 rounds while hunting, and like my pistol grip. Both have their place.

                            Fun little experiment, ask as many LEO's that you know what they think about either an AR-30 or an AR-24 and see how many of them know about the law. It's sort or a trick question, the real answer is not if they know that the ar-30 is a bolt gun or that the ar-24 is a pistol but if they immediately say, "it's against the law/illegal." So far i've asked 5 of my LEO buddies and only one (who works for the ATF, go figure) said as long as it has a magazine lock or monsterman grip and isn't on the list I don't see why it wouldn't be illegal. The other 4 have told me it was a 12020 violation and I might become a fellon.

                            But you are correct when saying a lot more officers know about the law's then they did even a year ago.
