    G2 Trigger Question

I bought a Romanian parts kit and G2 single hook trigger combo how ever when i went to the NoDak Spud web site they have posted that they don't recommend using G2 single hook triggers with NoDak 3 receivers. Has anyone had any problems using G2 single hook triggers with NoDak Spud 3 receivers. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Haha, they dont recommend it because the receiver only has the cutout for one of the hooks. Took me 2 minutes and a dremel to fix.

    No problems whatsoever after that

The problem is that the receiver slot for the trigger hook on the NDS3 is too long and allows the trigger hook to travel too far, and there have been reports of doubling. You can fix this by using a double hook trigger and not cutting the second slot as long or by using a different company's single hook FCG.

See post #10 for example: http://www.akfiles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15748

If you don't want the single hook FCG I will take it off your hands cheap and use it in an NDS2

If you use a double hook trigger and dont cut the slot, youll never be able to take it off safe......

Dang, I cut out the 2nd slot in my NDS-3 the same size as the 1st slot. Haven't had it assembled yet, but now I'm wondering if there will be a problem...

I did the same thing on my first couple builds, no problems yet with >500rds thru each. I'm not sure how prevalent an issue this is, but it must be happening with some kind of frequency or they wouldn't have posted the warning.

Not all NDS-3's have reported doubling with the single hook G2 FCG. My 3 Romanians have not had any doubling during the 2K rounds. I suspect that it might be more common if the trigger is pulled lightly and recoil is involved.
                      Thanks,

the single hook should fit without any modification to parts, the double will need some grinding or else the receiver will.

I say flip a coin or buy the cheaper one

Should I stay Away from Tapco if Iuse a single hook. Iwish I could use the romanian trigger group, I swear the US compliance rules are just a way for someone to make more money.

You can use the Romy FCG but you will have to add a couple more US parts then.

The floorplate and follower are easy, slant break also easy, P. grip easy. Stock and hand guards start to cost as do the FCG. Gas piston is cheap but requires more time and effort
