Help! OLL friendly FFL near Santa Barbara / Ventura?

I talked to my normal FFL and asked if he was OLL-friendly, and he said yes - but it turns out he didn't know what an OLL was and is now very leery about it. (After I made a deal on GB). I may be able to convince him that its legal, but if there's a more knowledgeable dealer around that might be a good alternative, since this will be my first OLL and I don't want to screw anything up. It's a Colt CR6724 CAR-A3, which to my understanding is truly off list. I can go to Ventura no problem, LA if I have to. Any ideas?

Uncle pauls in ventura. Extremely nice guys and knowledgeable. They have olls, aks, and ar15s on the walls. I did two transactions with them when I was at UCSB. One out of state transfer and another from gunbroker. I transferred an oll and a pistol. I think they charge 75 for transfer, dros included, which I found to be reasonable. Give them a call and they will take care of you.

Well, no go from Island View, it's "too much of a gray area." I tried Uncle Paul's, maybe they were closed for Veterans day, I'll try them and Fort Courage tomorrow.

I bought an OLL from Island View. No problems. They are a new shop with good intentions. Talk to Jacob. He is more knowledgeable than Bobby. But in Bobby's defense he is learning and very courteous. If you can work out the details, I would go with Island View.

Uncle Paul's got shut down because of a paper work problem with their FFL from what they tell me.

I recently drove to Costa Mesa to check out Riflegear.com. Those guys really know their stuff. They were really helpfull with all my questions.

If you have questions about your OLL I would call Riflegear.com
949-209-6413 They are changing locations tomorrow(friday) so you might have some problems connecting with them. That is just me assuming that, them moving might present some problems with communication. It wouldn't surprise me if they pull it off. They really seem like a crew that can pull it off!

Its too bad that they are 2 hours away from me! And futher for you.

We told no one such a thing. We had to close to change our FFL, NOT because of paperwork. We did well on our last inspection.

Lock & Load to the rescue! A little bit out of the way but it's a scenic route at least - It'll be a good motorcycle ride at least the first trip out.

Just to get the record straight.
I don't have anything against Uncle Paul's. Every time I went In there they where very professional and very helpful.
But, I am not a liar. I know what was said to me. That being said.... good luck to you brothers. Maybe it was a huge misunderstanding!
